Medium brown body that clears except for a medium ring. Nose is toast, nut, and a light smoke that is mostly notable because I am looking for it. A nice toasted malt with leanings towards some roasted aspects. That might be the influence of the smoke, because it’s not really coming through otherwise. A decent mild ale, but a little too mild in the smoke arena. I’ve rated it more towards the base mild style than as a smoked beer, but detracted a tad for the hybrid aspects.
