Picked up a 500 ml bottle after volunteering at the Free the Whales festival held at Hopfly Brewing in Charlotte 7-1-23. Aged 3 years on corn and rye, wax sealed.
Beer poured a hazy orange with a very nice white head. Yeast caused a small bit of a lava flow after cracking this.
Nose has notes of tropical fruits, horseblanket, and leather.
Taste is nicely done as i am getting a touch of sour orange with mango, some horseblanket, and leather. Finishes with a slight tang and balanced; 6/10 on the pucker scale.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and refreshing.
Overall this is nicely done as i this is mostly balanced but leaving a nice tang after each sip.
