A beer full with flavors of chocolate, coffee, and oats. Slightly sweet, low bitterness. Complex, full-bodied, smooth, and delicious.

Unseen Creatures Brewing and Blending "The Last Breaksfast"
16 oz. can without production codes or freshness dating
Notes via stream of consciousness: I don't normally comment on label artwork because you can't see it in an all text review but the label for this "The Last Breaksfast" has a kind of "Last Supper" thing going on, but with animals. Very cool. It's poured a black body beneath a finger's width of tan foam. The aroma is chocolatey, coffee-like, and a little bit leafy and earthy. On to the taste... as you might have expected it's chocolatey, coffee-like, and a little bit leafy and earthy. I was expecting a little bit more but I don't know why. Honestly. It's just a well-made, and well-balanced stout. There's some apple-like fruitiness to it, and the coffee-like roastiness is pleasant. Sometimes dark beers can be a little too acidic because of the acidity inherent in the dark malts but that's not the case here. in the mouth it's medium bodied on the lighter side and gently crisp and smooth. I think that the head retention and lacing could be better but it's OK. All in all it's a nicely done English-style stout.
