Most "The Garage" beers are average or somewhat better than average. This one is fantastic!!! When I saw the big bubbly pink head and reddish purple body, I had a sudden flashback to "Clamado", the most foul beer I have ever tasted. However, a quick sniff of all those berries calmed me down and I could appreciate the beautiful colors in my Grape and Gourmet tulip glass. Aside from the beautiful, deep color, this beer has good carbonation and a long-lasting big head. Aroma is berries (raspberries), berries (blackberries) and more berries (blueberries). In the aroma and taste, the blueberries must be a bit lost in the shuffle. It is very easy to pick up raspberries and blackberries. Aroma and flavor are wonderful. This is not some annoyingly sweet fruity beer based on lots of sugary syrup. It tastes of just ripe berries with no extra sugar. The sourness kicks in and it is just right...nice and tart, not some vinegar bomb. Mouthfeel is rich with a nice balance between sweet berries and tart sourness. The Boss Lady series in expensive ($20 a crowler), but it is well worth it. A wonderful beer.
