From The Garage website: Our award-winning Boss Lady sour has evolved to something bigger and fruiter for our first anniversary! This batch ramps up the ABV to 10%, delivered this time through 250 pounds of pineapple and apricot. This phenomenal tropical variant delivers the same fruit-tartness you love with savory notes of citrus and sweet stonefruit.
This beer was brewed for their first anniversary.
Picked up a crowler at the brewery. Pours a hazy yellow color, darker than straw yellow with a small fizzy head. No lacing and less than average retention. The aroma contains both fruits with the apricot predominating. Fruit is the main aroma and it is pretty robust. Taste is bold as well. There is definitely sourness here from the yeast but sweetness too, mostly from the pineapple. This is a sipper, not a belt-it-down summer cooler, because of the sourness. The flavor is very pleasant if you like sour beers. Mouthfeel is smooth and rich. The 10% .abv is not noticeable, it goes down like a much lighter beer. A very pleasant wild ale for all but the most fanatic sours lovers.
