Even though the vibe gets a low rating, it is just because it is a tiny and very spartan interior. The spirit here is vey happy go lucky with some families with young children there as well, having a good time socially. The tap keeper was very agreeable and knowledgable about beer in general. This is out next to a residential neighborhood, north of downtown Spokane. Have never done and have avoided trivia nights at taprooms but was in the middle of a tasting flight when a trivia night began here. I was the only one at the bar and the tap keep and I were almost a team, as everyone else were in sizable groups, collaborating to come up with one answer, which was a huge advantage to playing with 1-3 people. The subjects and questions were quite good and varied, including a few on local history and architecture. The atmosphere was very convivial and welcoming, even though most all were locals, no "What are you doing here?" odd looks toward a stranger or two. The beer is all mediocre but is almost beside the point of being there.

Locally owned and operated brewery. Very friendly atmosphere. Nice selection of high quality and fairly wide range of brews.

this is a neat little brewery north of spokane proper, a little off the beaten path, but worth going out of your way for. from what i can tell, its essentially a one or two man operation, as the brewer was also tending bar when i was in, super nice guy, rightly proud of his beers, and happy to chat about his process a little bit. the space is minimal, a little bar in the back corner of the small taproom, which is on the end of a larger warehouse, production in the back, some picnic table style seating in there, room for no more than maybe 40 people, and that would be packing it out. no frills at all. they had a nice list of beers up, some cool single hop stuff, a peanut butter porter that really was good, and a berliner that was way ahead of the curve. pretty diverse list, and the execution was solid on everything i drank. i like the singular focus on the beer here, thats what everyone is there for, and its a neat little local collection of folks hanging out in here. they have a great reputation around town with the local beer nerds and other breweries as well, this place was recommended to me by almost everyone, and its easy to see why. still sort of at an adolescent stage in their development it seems, but making some creative beers out here. i had a nice time drinking through a number of them, and look forward to seeing where they go from here. awesome experience!
