Bitter, dry, and jam-packed with notes of pithy citrus peel and dank earth, this West Coast is bursting with huge notes of pulpy tangerine, and punchy mango, balanced with a deep, bitter, and dank finish.

Had Only the Shadows at Key City brewpub, Vicksburg, Mississippi, on $8.00 draft into willi becher.
Pours light-hazy gold, with 1-finger near-white head, with good retention, leaving narrow rings of lace down the glass. Initial aromas of citrus peel, and sweet citrus, which continue, with citrus peel dominating, and some melon, sweet berries and mild malt showing as warms. A noticeably creamy body delivers sweet citrus to start, quickly followed by sharp bitter citrus, over mild malt, then melon joins the citrus, before a very citrus crisp and dank but not hugely bitter finish.
Good for big bitter citrus fix, somewhat moderated by a little melon and dankness on the back end.
