Appenzeller India Pale Ale

L- In early evening light it is a rich mid amber. Pours with a tiny haze and 5mm white head. Forms major lacing down the sides of the glass.
S- I get a somewhat sour/fruity note... I wasn't expecting that, otherwise it seems quite subtle.
T- Fruity^ yes, then a sort of meaty-rich yet slightly sour following it. Swiss Pale is likely new to me so I'd no idea what to expect.
F- It's quite pungent, after a couple blind-tasted I could easily be pursuaded it's something like a Belgian Dubbel/Tripel.
O- It's lovely for the hoppier/paler genre of styles. Would I drink it again - phh! yes any day. Would I buy it again? At £2.99 for a 330ml bottle I'm undecided; there are many other seriously good beers available at that price level.
