L- Mid amber and crystal clear - it's filtered, so pour away, no concern re: sediment here. Pours with 5mm white head.
S- Mild, some grains and a bit biscuity.
T- Well it tastes like 'a decent lager', just it's less hoppy and has a slightly richer body. It's very clean.
F- It's a lager but feels little like a mainstream one. The greater 'richness' might make this a good lager to drink in colder months, when the palate can crave body/feel vs more typical hops/refreshing.
O- I've had a Bavarian lager like this one before but it's not that common. There's nothing wrong as such but I doubt it's trying to excite anyone. Interesting to try but unless you know this style is your thing then I'd perhaps not buy it outside Switzerland at import-price$
Hard to know how to rate this one! There isn't a 'Bore - Excite' category to rate, nor 'Relative cost of your purchase'...
Bought from BeersOfEurope/UK for home delivery. 330ml bottle. BB: 30/03/2021
ps. Brewery website details for this beer include: 'BrandLöscher – literally translated as “fire-quencher” – is perfect for all hot or explosive moments! By adding roasted malt and caramelised malt, the flavour of this lager is somewhat sweeter.'
