Coffee and roasted malt aroma and flavor. I get a caramel aroma that I don’t notice in the flavor as much. I also don’t pick up the vanilla and cacao, but definitely the coffee and cinnamon. There is a slight artificial flavor in the aftertaste. The feel is not as thick and smooth as I generally like. The carbonation is a little more fizzy.
Overall, it’s a pretty good Russian imperial stout. I don’t know that I will have a chance to drink it again since I am having it while far away from home. I wouldn’t seek it out, but would certainly drink it again if I had the chance.
