Dad brought a bottle of this home from Turkey on a whim. I had low, low, low expectations going in. This beer is different from the Bomonti Filtresiz as far as I can tell because it has a different label and bottle.
Appearance: Hazy yellow. A fizzy head that bubbles away pretty much instantly. No lace. Meh. Nice color though.
Smell: Grassy. Reasonably malty. A little corn. A slight spicy note. Nothing off at all about it -- pretty nice, actually. I was expecting a skunky mess, but I didn't get that. Excuse my ignorance.
Taste/feel: Prickly as hell carbonation I notice initially, then a lot of malt... a slight corn sort of flavor, and then a lingering malt/corn taste. The feel outside of the carbonation isn't bad at all. There's a decent body to it. Overall, a pretty sweet beer. I get an earthy "essence of hops" but I don't get any particular hop kinds of flavors.
It's not a beer that'll win any awards in the craft beer world, but it's got a decent "snap", not boring, and best of all, not skunky/off.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
