Unlike what it says on the bottle this beer is not a stout like beer. Yes it is black, yes it tastes coffee-ish but tastes just like a lager beer and is very carbonated. Not creamy like a stout

500ml Bottle marked [translating] 'Black stout beer 4.5%. Irish stout beer'. Back of bottle marked 'World beer series - in 1890 Bomonti introduced the beer world to these lands. Today we continue to meet with the changing of things in the world. Bomonto Black is a stout type beer with a rich brown and black colour. Four types of malt...'. Brewed: 28/02/18, best before: 28/06/18 [a strikingly short shelf life!].
Bought from a branch of Carrefour supermarket in Ankara. Cost: TL9 [=£1.60, EUro1.85, US$2.25].
L. Well it looks black, but held up to the light it's a very deep chestnut. Pours with a 2-finger tan head very slowly reducing.
S. Toasty and hoppy, fresh, hints of conifers
T. Toasty into hoppy finish, then deep toastiness
M. Quite rounded and smooth for 4.5%. No rough edges.
O. I opened this with pretty low expectations as I'm not a huge fan of stout, but it's really pretty decent. Might not buy it again as it's priced as a premium beer, but would happily drink one given to me.
