Got this from Emma and Terry. Cheers!

Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout
APPEARANCE: Clear, transparent light brown pour yields a two finger, medium looking, off-white head with solid retention. Clear bistre brown body with no real carbonation evident. Head slowly crackles down to a full cap. A splotchy wisp remains leaving touches of lacing on the glass as it empties.
SMELL: Lots of oak, wood, some bourbon notes, vanilla cream, milk chocolate and some booze on the nose. Some caramel notes as well. Bold enough.
TASTE: Oak, wood, some bourbon, vanilla notes and caramel sweetness up front, into a boozy and woody finish. Bold aftertaste of vanilla, caramel sweetness, notes of milk chocolate, woody flavors, oak, bourbon notes and a solid punch of booze lingers on the palate. Flavorful and plenty of woody barrel on this one.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Slightly creamy on the palate, a bit silky, goes down fine with a good burn at the swallow and finishes rather sticky. Decent heat lingers.
OVERALL: Solid stuff. The woody barrel is enjoyable and the feel works well on this one. The look is clearly too light for the style, so that could use some beefing up. Otherwise, a good barrel aged imperial stout that I enjoyed while watching some football playoffs. Would definitely do again, or take on a newer batch if I had the chance. Check it out if you get the chance. Thanks again guys!
