Crowler from 2C. Not even close. Clear brown pour, small bubbly head. Ashy, smoky aroma. Taste come in bitter, but in the wrong way. Yikes! Big disappointment

On-tap at the brewery in Nampa; served in a fluted pilsner-style glass.
A: Clear dark amber/brown with a small fluffy head.
S: Dark bread crust, espresso, malty, hint of smoke, roast.
T: More bitter than I'm used to in a Schwarz; lots of coffee and even smoky roastiness in the malt character. Cocoa as well.
MF: Light and drinkable at sub-5%.
O: More bitter than I expected, with some unexpected smoked character, but a good dark lager.
