From the stubby 12 oz. bottle dated 1/28/16. Sampled on May 30, 2016.
It pours an unfiltered amber-orange under a long-lasting off-white head.
The aroma has a typical German malt character with some added herbs and spices and grass. Notable sweetness too.
Medium to better body.
The taste is toasty sweet malt forward with a vibrant dry-hopped bitterness at the end.

On tap poured into a shaker pint
A: caramel amber body with good clarity with a soapy white head
S: grains lightly toasted malts a little bit of corn
T: malty light grains sweet caramel and light toffee with a hint of almonds on the end
lighter to slightly medium has a little aftertaste but not much
O: it's a nice easy drinking beer. Nothing to get excited about but much more approachable and flavorful than Boston Lager.

Bought a bottle in Vermont at Cold Hollow CIder Mill in Waterbury. The beer poured with a somewhat cloudy brown-orange color and a medium sized head that dissipated into a thin ring of retention around the glass. Aromas were great with this mix of earthy, herby spice mixed with pear, apple, light citrus, and sugar products, like caramel. The taste was decent, with a mild sweetness following the nose that seemed a little flat by the aftertaste. Mouthfeel included some light carbonation to overall medium body. Overall, I thought the aromas were the best dimension to this beer.
