Dooley's Belated Porter

Drinking as part of a flight.
Pours a dark clear mahogany with a thin tan head.
Smells some of roasted malts, cocoa.
Fair mouth feel. Somewhat watery.
Tastes of dark malt with notes of cocoa and coffee.

Not the worst beer but I won't buy another one. This is a porter that doesn't know how to stay in its lane. The look of the beer is about all I can really rank as a positive. Nice lacing, nice thickish pour. The nose, now there is something interesting. This beer has almost no nose, haven't really come across that. It has a touch of hop but zero maltiness. Just haven't seen that. The taste is way too much hop and not nearly enough malty, dark roasts for a porter. There is nothing to really recommend it. It's inoffensive but it's a one and done for me.
