Another great beer from Switchback. Swirled the can as instructed (a Switchback tradition). Pours a reddish slightly hazy gold. Piney resin aroma , a hint of tropical citrus. The pine resin taste was great , hop bitterness factor was spot on. Was smooth to the tongue (I was expecting it to be sharper). Great hot summer day beer , but would be great anytime of the year. I had it slightly warm (brought off the shelf) which really brought out the aroma and flavor. Do not over chill this beer. West Coast and New England IPA hybrid to produce Mountain style IPA.

How have I never had anything from Switchback before?
Been on here for nearly 20 years and this is the first offering from them that I’ve had. Given that I spent every ounce of energy I had getting up Mount Mansfield earlier today, this can was an appropriate way to celebrate the feat.
Thankfully, this was on par with the hike and the view as it was a fitting brew for something here in the Green Mountain State. Got a 16 oz. can of it here at Pie Casso here in Stowe to go along with dinner. Quite the aromatic hop presence as it was chock full of tropical fruit, fresh grass, and weed as it smelled like beer should. Hazy and golden, this left behind extensive suds with a bitterness that reminded me of SingleCut’s best. Floral in the back, this had a nice balance and bitterness with just a bit of slickness and dankness left on my palate in the aftertaste.
Packaged on 8/2, this was as fresh as any beer that I’ve had as of late. Plenty juicy and easy to quaff, this had some fruit rind and an undertone of melon that easily left me wanting more. Any canned beer that feels like it came out in tap is a winner in my book, as that was the case with this enticing offering!

Drank from a 16oz can born on 6/10/24. Pours dark yellow with at least two fingers worth of head. Tastes of ripe tropical fruits with subtle but distinct hop bitterness. Substantial and delicious.
