The first offering from this brewery from Drumheller. Love the hoodo art on the can and the slogan "Brewed in the Badlands."
Appearance - Pours a hazy straw gold with three fingers of bubbly white head.
Smell - earthy, floral, and leafy hops, bready grainy malts, lemon, grassy aromas, and earthy yeast.
Taste - bold earthy, floral, and leafy hops upfront. The bready grainy malts, and lemon follow suit. The grassy aromas and earthy yeast finish the brew off. A pleasant sweetness comes from the malts.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes crisp and dry with the hops lingering.
Overall - A crisp and bold German Pilsner from this new up and coming craft brewery. I like how all elements make the brew bold, flavourful, and refreshing on this sunny day here in Cowtown. Worth a try!
