Appearance - Pours a jet black with three fingers of frothy mocha tan head.
Smell - earthy, leafy, and floral hops, roasted malts, cocoa, milk chocolate, hint of vanilla bean, and earthy yeast.
Taste - earthy, leafy, and floral hops upfront. Then it goes into the roasted malts, bold notes of cocoa and milk chocolate. The hint of vanilla bean and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes velvety smooth with the cocoa and milk chocolate lingering.
Overall - A flavourful porter from Valley. The milk chocolate and cocoa are what make this beer so quaffable. Another winner from this brewery.
