The can talks a pretty good game about using Pilsner malt and German hops. Looks like it could be a German Plsner in the glass. On the nose, though, all I get is hops, and they smell suspiciously New World-y too. This is not Saaz bitterness or Noble hop earth and spice. Smells distinctly fruity. Can't detect any of this alleged Pilsner malt. Not looking great so far. On the flavour there is a very nice peppery hop that makes its presence felt, and is indeed reminiscent of some German hops. Other than that one though, it is dominated by fruity American tasting hops. Grapefruit citrus to be specific. Distinctly not German. I can't really taste any of that biscuity Pilsner malt either, try as I might to be charitable and find it. Maybe it's in there somewhere, but it's masked by the grapefruit hops. Meh, at least the carbonation isn't too spiky and there is no off flavour. So overall it's an okay New World hoppy lager. If you're into American IPA you will like it. But it is not a "German Pilsner" and could never be mistaken for such in a blind test.
