The use of Beechwood smoked malt gives this lager a mixed complexity of smoke, honey sweetness, graham cracker and floral hop character.

Four pack of 16 ounce cans from the brewery in Drumheller, gather named after the Whitehouse Hotel that burned down in 1937, was rebuilt and burned down a second time in 1980.
Pours a clear pale golden yellow with a finger of foamy white head.
Definite smoked malt on the nose, some bready/crackery character with floral notes and just a hint of smoked ham.
Honey/honeysuckle sweetness on the palate, a bit of cracker, bread, and a delightfully soft but prominent smoky malt with floral hops.
Bright light medium mouthfeel with moderate carbonation and a refreshing smoky sweet finish. Very well done.
