its rare that i am real pleased with a fruited hefe, this is a style variant that lends itself to being sweet, artificial, forced, and cheap tasting, at least in my experience, but this one is really good as they go. the peach is obvious and natural, not sweet in aroma or flavor, it smells just like a real ripe juicy peach, which marries into the lemony and spicy tones this has from the yeast, light coriander and white pepper to me, maybe a little orange note as well, pretty dynamic really, and the peach leads in the taste, but not at the expense of the flavor of the wheat or the yeast character. its fresh to me on the grain side, real on the fruit, and not as perfumy as a lot of these seem to get, even if there is a little peach candy thing at temperature. my father in law loves this one, raves about it, and while i wouldnt choose it over their splendid coffee lager, its a nice base hefe that hasnt been debased for the sake of making it fruity. medium body but drier than expected and smooth and easy to drink. this one should really take off for them in the summertime, they should sell it at the baseball field this season!
