A very dark beer with little in the way of a head or lace.

Coffee and chocolate aromas are properly present, but don't overpower. What surprised me as I made my way through this beer was just how much graininess came through in the nose. Nice touch.

This is quite gentle and subdued for a coffee porter and didn't offer up a big presence. Easy to drink and interestingly subtle. Good for someone who might normally be afraid of this style of beer. I generally prefer a bit more muscle tastewise and on the palate than this offered.

Enjoyable and worth a try.
