Poured on tap at The Olde Stone Brewery. Came at cellar temp. A bit cool, but not cold. Very black colour, with a bit of ruby when held up to the candlelight. Not much head. Probably about a finger's worth. Nice, warming smell. Black coffee, roasted malts, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, an overall Christmas dessert smell. Reminded me of Christmas pies baking at my mother's. Very light bitter taste. Some black chocolate and coffee beans, lightly spiced with cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a bit of candy cane as well. Mouthfeel was a bit thin. I believe the ABV was 4.8%, but am unsure. A terrific beer to have during the holidays.
