Another authentic German style beer that has been approved by the Germans in Hendersonville. This Blue Ribbon winner is a crisp, clean pilsner that has a beautiful golden straw color with a wonderful malty body with just the right amount of bitterness at the end to balance it out.

Many thx to CarolinaCardinals for this beer!

A - Medium gold with lots of vibrant carbonation and a thin, but dense creamy white layer.

S - Crisp malt with a huge waft of dry, spicy floral hitting the nose.

T - Crisp crackery malt base with a nice wall of dry, spicy floral over the top with just the right amount of spicy hops to balance things out.

M - Medium body with sprightly, prickly carbonation.

O - There's a very small amount of sweet residue after the sip but doesn't detract from the beer in any way.

Appearance: Brilliant, clear deep gold. Frothy white head with excellent retention. Fast rising bubbles.

Aroma: Floral hops

Flavor: Grainy malt. Spicy/herbal hops. Moderate to low bitterness

Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied, soft and well rounded

Overall: This beer pours to a beautiful brilliant, clear, deep gold. Forms a big white frothy head that really sticks around. Aroma is straight up floral hops. Flavor starts with a sweet impression by quicky goes to drying with a spicy/herbal hoppiness taking over. Bitterness is low to moderate and breaks clean; not lingering too long. Soft mouthfeel gives the impression of being full bodied. Finish is crisp, clean and dry. Excellent representation of the style.

Picked up a 16 oz can at the Appalachian Vintner in Asheville 3-8-23 for $3.85. Canned 11-28-22; consumed 7-15-23 as part of the Pilsner tasting event. Cold stored since purchase.

Beer pours deep golden with a beautiful, long-lasting white head.

Nose is mild, getting some crackers and white bread.

Taste is spot onto the style. The malt base gives notes of crackers and white bread that is spiced nicely with a pepper finish that lends a ever so slight trace of bitterness.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and fairly refreshing.

Overall some very nice qualities to this beer. I really need to find some on draft and re-evaluate.
