Pours a brown'ish, deep, dark golden amber coloration with a huge fluffy, lasting head, visible carbonation and some floaties on final pour. Smells of biscuity, caramel malt, citrus hops and just a hint of pine. Taste is a good balance of somewhat faint biscuity, caramel malt and lightly resinous, citrus hops, with notes of grapefruit, tangerine and pine. Finishes with a light bitterness and some grapefruit and pine lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a very light body and strong carbonation.
This is a bit thin, watery and overcarbonated, but still has a nice, if somewhat faint, West Coast feel to it, with some resinous, citrus hops and pine definitely coming through. Not bad for a Session IPA.
