"Zaboristoye" means something like "mischievous". Wish I could say that the brew fit the label. Comes in a standard brown half liter bottle with a trademark Tolstyak label featuring a fat and happy guy holding a mug of beer. Ingredients include rice. Bottled on 5/3/03, I opened it on 8/18/03.
Poured a nice deep clear gold color under a white head that disappeared seemingly before I put the bottle down. No lace, of course. The nose is sweet and somewhat malty, while the mouth has a heavy sweet feel - not much carbonation. The taste is syrupy, followed by a harsh and fairly unpleasant metallic bitterness. The aftertaste kept the metal long after whatever hoppy bitterness was gone. Not a good experience.
