Reeks of grapefruit and pine, riding a firm bitterness right on through every sip. We just keep adding layers of hoppy goodness to this one all the way throughout our process, and we think you'll notice. DO try this at home.

16oz can. Date stamp on bottom lip is 'PKG: 12/31/24', about twelve weeks in the can.
Clear, pale gold colored body. Two fingers of white head keeps climbing as the can is poured into the glass. Head retreats to a partial cap and high ring. Leaves behind some cirrus clouds of lacing.
Aroma is fragrant and escapes the glass easily. Smells of sweet grapefruit and pine resin. Gets a little dank with a deep draw. Malt sits below.
Taste is sweet at first and then gets bitter at the end. Flavors concentrate on the catty hops that reveal dank pine resin. Any citrus expression is minimal. Malt provides a sweet base. Aftertaste stays more bitter than sweet and goes herbal and full of resin.
Slightly more than medium mouthfeel. Soft texture. Numbs the top of the tongue. Very good carbonation.
Good for style with its body clarity and long lasting bitterness. Stays soft instead of dry. Pleasant enough, and more in the modern vein of a West Coast IPA.

IPA - American

A clean and clear golden AIPA. Sharp and refreshing hop bite has pine and bright red fruity flavors. The lightly sweet, golden malt is in fine balance with the hops.

6 oz draft pour at Lures Bar & Grille. Pours a light orange/caramel color with a small head. Aroma and flavor feature pine, grapefruit peel, and caramel malt. It's a traditional but fairly simple old-school WCIPA. Kind of sweet and boozy for the abv. Overall decent, but a couple of steps below top-notch.

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned 5/7/24, so a month old.

Pale golden yellow body, decent white head, average lacing. Aroma is hoppy, slightly catty. On tasting, hoppy with pine and resin, good malt base, slightly sweet at times, no real citrus notes though. Finish is quite warming.

Overall, above average West Coaster, nice drink, didn't miss the citrus.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a fine, two finger white head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus and piney hops, grapefruit, lemon, mild ripe tropical fruit and a touch of dankness. Flavor is pale malt with a touch of biscuit, citrus and dank hops, grapefruit, ripe tangerine, some catty dankness and pine arriving into the finish with citrus rind and pine needles bitterness. Medium bodied with medium creaminess; nice mouth feel. West Coast IPAs from the other coast are always interesting and often have a portion of New England style tropical fruit (which is also now happening on the WC too as these styles hybridize). This one is a nice representation of the West Coast style, a little light on the pine at first, but with good resinous pine notes in the finish and a quite satisfactory bitterness and a creamier than normal mouth feel. I liked this one, nicely done.

16 oz. Can
PKG: 07/10/23

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice hazy yellow/orange color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus white head, which also leaves some pretty nice creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (oranges, tangerines, pineapple, grapefruit, mango), pretty nice pineyness. The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (oranges, tangerines, grapefruit, pineapple, mango), pretty nice pineyness. Medium body, ABV hidden very well, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a pretty tasty beer. Definitely not your typical West Coast Style IPA.

16 oz. can dated 10/3/23

Clear gold color with three fingers of fine white head from a normal pour. Full curtain lacing and surface cap. No floats or sediment.

Citrus and pine aromas for sure, but something else hard to name, like a fermented pineapple, or the yuzu, something funky.

Pine, orange, pineapple, grapefruit flavors. Not much malt presence.

Spiky hops up front, than a bitter aftertaste that I enjoyed. Good carbonation. No discernible alcohol heat.

A new scent and taste package for me in this West Coast IPA that I would like to explore further.

Poured from 16 ounce can into pint glass
Look: Clear golden yellow with 3 fingers of white head with great retention
Smell: Citrus and hops
Taste: Follows the nose with a well-balanced blended of citrus notes and bitter hops.
Feel: Medium-bodied with moderate-high carbonation.
Overall: A great east-coast representation of a traditional west-coast-style IPA.
