Another awesome coffee-tilted imperial porter out of Orange Co.; this puts RD on notice. Brackish brown with tinges of maroon. Minimal beige head. Little lacing, but it was a growler fill. Aroma is a chocolatier shop owner's wet dream. Woodsy cherry stems add depth. Flavor is a well crafted chocolate filled puff pastry that brings me to the streets of France. Little on the way of roast, but it's also not cloying as a result. Flaky vanilla spiked malt. Low carbonation; a smooth and light body accentuated with a raspy hop bitterness make this an O.K. choice for a warmer evening.

On tap at Pony Bar Hell's Kitchen. This is the first dark beer I have tried from Industrial Arts and it is solid. Coffee aroma is tremendous and the flavor is full and nicely balanced. Only issue is the feel, which is a little thin. Very good porter.
