Enjoyed on tap at the brewery this afternon, now reviewed from a 1/2 growler. Nice to see the chief today..on Dead Head sunday...

Pours lightly clouded light tangerine, moderate off white thin cap, and leaving minor lacing,

Bubble gummy sniff, with some lime, bananas, coriander and yeasty goodness.

More of the same on the palate, complex and tasty stuff..more bubble gum, bananas, coriander, yeastyness...also getting some lemons and assorted ripe citric notes, with a subtle underlying "funkyness"....nicely crafted, delicate Belgiany pale aley wild/sour/brett/funky/yeasty tastyness...please can this stuff

A: Strong lemon in color, very ripe. Snow white head.

S: Spoilt strawberry milk...not the 2 week old container you find under your car seat. This manages to be pleasant. Tamarind and an earthy tobacco.

M: Extremely light. Moderately dry.

T: Runts candy, especially the banana. Pineapple sour, lemon contribute a tropical overtone. Quite vegetal...garlic scape really lingers. A sweet corn/minerality reminds me of rolling rock to an extent.

On tap at Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a slightly hazy light yellow, with a small wispy head and not much lacing.

Smells like lightly chalky and very lemony Brett, with wonderful grapefruit and mango.

The Brett character is flawlessly woven into this beer. This is not surprising, given Chief's strengths. It's super fruity and soft, mango pineapple and grapefruit, with a minerally and lemon forward Brett flavor. There's a very slight mineralesque bitterness on the finish- definitely a bit herbal.

This is light bodied and super crisp, with a good level of carbonation.

This is absolutely killer and one of the best Brett dosed pale ales that I've had.
