Pours a clear light orange with lots of soapy head.

Smell is very peachy with a bit of sweetness and some bretty pepper.

Taste is a bit bretty with a terrific bitterness and plenty of peaches.

Mouthfeel is medium and sparkly.

Overall, a terrific brett IPA, with just the right balance.

Hazy, vibrant yellow-orange with two fingers of airy off-white head that leave soapy lacing.

Peach, pineapple, soft grapefruit, tart lime, some white bread and a touch of earthy horse-blanket.

Light butterscotch and tropical fruit sweetness up front in the taste, that is quickly matched by some musty, lime, cheese rind and horse blanket character. Then a nuttier malt presence than expected, followed by a very dry finish.

Medium bodied with just enough carbonation.

Honestly, these flavors don't meld very well for me. Still fun to try nonetheless. 8/24/17 canned on date.

Canned 8/24/2017. Poured into Industrial Arts pint glass. It pours a hazy, bright golden color with a finger of milk-white head and extensive lacing. Lots of citrus on the nose, including lemon, lime, and a whiff of pineapple, along the unique brett aroma. The taste opens with the same fruit I smelled but you can also really taste the brettanomyces. There is a bold hoppy bitter finish. Compared to other fruity IPA's, this one finishes very crisp and clean. It's medium in body with lively carbonation and the 7.4% ABV poses no distraction. This is simply a well-made and very tasty American IPA from a quality brewer.

On tap at Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a super hazy iridescent orange, with a fluffy pure white head and lots of lacing. Looks like sherbet.

This one smells like slightly tart pineapple, melon, hop candy, sweet grain, and mango.

This is unbelievably fruity. The Brett doesn't add that typical barnyard thing, it accentuates the fruity hop character and gives it a zippy tang that is just delicious. This is pure hop candy through and through. There's a little bit of peppery bitterness.

This is medium bodied, with a very creamy mouthfeel.

Chief is nearly unparalleled when it comes to hoppy Brett beers.

L- cloudy gold, good lacing, looks pretty tasty
S- lots of lemon peel, slight straw, pine needles. Lots of aroma
T- smell plus some ripe tangerine
F- feel on this one is a high point for the beer and the brewery. Light on the tongue but packed with flavor, slightly astringent and hints of sour lemon tingle, but not bitter, sour, or sweet.
O- this is my favorite Industrial Arts offering out of the 3 others I've tried. Hope to see more good stuff from them.

Pours a cloudy dark gold, almost murky, with beautiful three finger white topper of thick foam that kicks back to skim and ring. Serious lace clings to glass for the ride.

Medium strength aroma that is lemon limey and earthy brett, slight neutral sweet, with crackery grain, floral, and citrus pith in the background to make a superb bouquet.

Wow, full flavored+! Earthy cardamom and pepper brett notes dominate, with lemon, lime, bitter orange, oily citrus pith, and rotted fruit notes joining the party. This baby is fully attenuated but there are lightest hints of sweet and crisp grain that lead to an end of sip that is all about deep earthy brett bitter of an extra dry nature.

Hard to rate to style since Brett IPA isn't a style, but it has the perfect mouthfeel for the flavor presentation and a finish that is one of the earthiest and clean finishes imaginable.

A magical Brett IPA from the master of the style. Highest recommendation.

Tall silver can, "Packaged 08/24/17" cant complain - yeah fresh - about a week in the can

The pour here is hazed, lighter/glowing amber, fine bubble off white cap, leaves a fine film, low sheeting and leaving fine smaller sheets of lacing.

Lime, ripe fruit, mild funk on the nose

Complex brew, with more lime, a hint of sour. a hint of funk, dry finish with just a bit of forest floor and earthy mold...simply delicious...a fine tribute to the first year of brewing for this high quality operation.

Happy to live very close by and looking forward to see what future creation emerge from the Chief and Industrial Arts.
