On tap at Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a slightly hazy and dark red, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like rye spice, caramel malt, spicy hops, and grapefruit.
This is very solid, but not quite as excellent as some of their other beers. It's quite malty, and surprisingly sweet for a rye IPA. There are some nice spicy notes from the both the hops and the rye, but it's not quite enough to stand up to the maltiness.
This is creamy with a nice feel to it, and a good level of carbonation.
Like most of their beers, this is nice. It's just not IA's absolute best.

Tall can - Packaged 09/20/17
Pours heavily hazed, darker almond amber, medium khaki cap, on the looser side...leaves minimal stickage.
Malted up nose with caramel, dark bread and some honey.
On the palate, I get a hint of fall spice, some light honey, vanilla, whole wheat bread, and general malty goodness, with a late hint of the advertised rye......meh, not a huge rye beer fan, this is a decent fall kinda quaffer....one and done here for me

I had this on draught at the brewery. Pint pour. It pours a hazy brown color with orange hues and a full finger of foamy, khaki-colored head and lacing that lasted through the pour. The nose features roasted malt, rye, and subdued hops. The taste was much more interesting: there is abundant rye and also distinct black cherry, with a hint of caramel. The finish has both a hoppy bitterness and a touch of caramel sweetness. The tastes are all delicate. This beer has a medium body, slightly creamy, with moderate carbonation, and it drinks below its 7% ABV. Overall, it is well crafted with interesting flavors that are distinct yet delicate. In my opinion, this is a style that is hard to get right but Industrial Arts did a nice job with it.
