Autumn Landscape is our take on a Festbier. Lighter in color and body than a Marzen, this easy-drinking lager is a rich golden color, has light toasty notes and a crisp & balanced finish. Hudson Valley Malt provided all the malt for this beer, Germantown 6-row Pilsner, Munich 8 and Vienna (which was kilned just a tad lighter than usual to encourage the toasty-ness). Hopped with Willamette and Mt. Hood from Pedersen Hop Farm, as well as Crystal from Willet Hop and Grain, it was fermented with a traditional German lager yeast strain. The can art features Ursual Schneider’s “August Hudson River” painting and 10% of the proceeds will go to Hudson Valley Seed, a non-profit focused on food justice and community wellness through garden based education.

A; The beer is clear yellow in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down a bit but consistently left a thin head covering the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of spicy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, having flavors of spicy hops, and also has hints of toasted malts.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer tastes drier and spicer compared to other beers in the style.
