At 10% ABV, this is the first beer we've made to hit double digits. Mosaic, Simcoe and Comet hops blast through a base of spelt, wheat and oats for a full-bodied lupulin-loaded flavor-blast.

This brew is a orange-creamsicle color. It is capped with a firm, dense, foamy head. Great lace. The dominant characteristic in the aroma is fruit...tropical, citrus, fresh, juice. Hops come forward in the taste, with an aggressive bitterness. Big juice and hop notes in the finish. The alcohol, at first hidden, jumps forward after a little warming and a few sips. Quite full in body. I'm not a big fan of hazy beers, but this is okay.

Picked up a can at BOTW. Fridged for a couple months; poured into imperial pint glass. Great look; soft but pleasant nose. Taste was nice juiced tropical and stone fruit blend…A bit aggressive on the bitterness on back end. Probably the Comet hops. Body was nicely full hand smooth. No burn etc with 10% abv. Overall an enjoyable “big” complement to Wrench. Enjoyed/would have again.

16oz can. Date stamp on bottom lip is 'PKG: 03/11/25', about ten weeks in the can.
Hazy, pale gold colored body. Two fingers of soapy white head, which settles back to a full cap. Leaves behind some short strings of lacing.
Aroma of green melon, pineapple, orange, apricot, and a little pine.
Taste is underripe fruit - orange, grapefruit, and pineapple. Still a little sweet but has a definite sour/bitter aspect that continues into the aftertaste. Boozy. Malt base may contribute some tanginess/bitterness. Has a bit of pine but not dank.
More than medium mouthfeel. Has a metallic note. No burn from the higher ABV% but vapors get to the nasal passages. Good carbonation.
Tastes similar to unsweetened grapefruit juice with a few drops of grain alcohol or vodka.

Pours a hazy gold. Thick foam. Juicy aroma. Bitter hop body. Juicy fruit with a heavy alcohol finish. I know it's a triple but a little too heavy on the alcohol taste. Takes away from the hops.

Luminous goldenrod with white film; passionfruit, underripe pineapple + a whiff of diesel on the nose; Seville orange, apricot, underripe melon, lemon balm + a dank end; oily, smooth, chewy.

Mosaic, Simcoe, Comet

The third in the trilogy.
It brings the complexity: there are bright top notes anchored by a pine forest floor end. And the craftsmanship is there: there’s not a hint of 10% burn.
Where it might fall down is intensity. The Mosaic is as sweaty as it is fruity, and Simcoe promises tropical on the nose without ever really delivering it. For a beer that drinks big (and this is a thicc boi) I’d expect a battletank of dank.
This likely slots in the middle: better than the hot mess of Torque, but not the paragon of balance that is regular Wrench.

Hefty but just not enough bang for the ABV buck.

Poured into a wide mouth grip shaped goblet: color is straw gold, murky/dense hazy, head is off white with fine bubbles and presents one finger thick, head dissipates to thin top and lacing.

Smell is subdued - notes of bread - wheat/oats, lighter hop notes of citrus pith and tropical; no real booziness.

Taste is more bread notes of wheat/oat/barley; hops are citrus pith and mixed tropicals, some herbal notes, some booziness with warmth; some candied qualities.

Mouthfeel is lower carbonation, moderate/stronger sweetness, lower bitterness.

Overall a big, slightly sweet hazy ipa - hidden booziness, surprising drinkability.

16 oz. Can
PKG: 03/13/24

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy yellow/orange color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus white head, which also leaves some pretty nice creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (oranges, tangerines, pineapple, grapefruit, mango, papaya, guava, nectarine), very nice diesel like. The taste is very nice, hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (oranges, tangerines, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, papaya, guava, nectarine), pretty nice sweetness, very nice diesel like. Full body, ABV hidden very well, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty beer.

Look - pale gold, hazy, juicy, solid white head, good lacing left behind
Smell - woody aromatic, piney, ripe citrus, dank
Taste - piney, spicy, melon, sweet fruit
Feel - medium body and carbonation, peppery finish, sticky
Overall - Received in a care package courtesy of the Yockinator out of New Jersey. Thanks Cuz. Delivered by my sweet little sister from her recent trip. Impressive Triple IPA at 10%. Great hazy, juicy look and the dank ripe citrus smell really set the stage for a great session. Piney and spicy followed by a ripe melon and a sweet fruitiness that tamped down the high ABV. Loved the peppery and sticky finish. You gotta rock out strong with this one so I suggest you pair it with Only Death Decides by Exodus from the Impact is Imminent album. Enjoy!
