L: 4 Nice clarity for a smoked lager.
S: 3.75 Robust notes of smoke and grains
T: 3.75 toasty malts, hops, charred wood like the stick you use to roast a marshmallow
F: 3.5 OK, but not quite easy going. This is something to sip on slowly by a fire.
O: 3.75 Solid offering from Industrial. I like that they're playing around with lagers, it's nice to switch things up from their pale ales.

I'm a sucker for smoked lagers. Brings me to back to the fall. Has a dortmunder lager undertone fwiw. Spicy minerality , herbal hops, corn malt sweetness.

A: The beer is clear amber yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that left some patches of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of smoke are present in the nose along with underlying hints of bready malts.
T: The taste has light flavors of smoke along with underlying notes of bready malts and bits of toast.
M: It feels medium-bodied and smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The aromas and flavors of smoke in this beer are very subtle so it is quite easy to drink.

Beautiful translucent golden color with a slightly off-white head, the smoke is so subtle, it’s difficult to pick up at first, but becomes more prominent as the beer warms and is accompanied by noble hop aromas and a rich, bready malt note.
The smoke is just as subtle on the taste, which is welcome because too much smoke can be a distraction (to be kind). In this case, it is the toasty referenced on the can, and complements the noble hop and bready malt flavors perfectly.
An outstanding beer, something I’ve come to expect from Industrial Arts.
