Poured from a can that I purchased at the brewery, into a shaker pint.
Having already savored Industrial Arts' Wrench, Week 208 and Tools of the Trade, I was glad to finally pay a visit to the brewery while in Beacon, NY; I was intrigued by the oat and wheat grain bill, made without malted barley.
The color is cloudy yellow with a white head; peach/mango notes predominate. The taste follows the nose, but I wasn't thrilled by the strong bite, almost as though it was over-carbonated. This beer seemed to be missing both the creaminess found in beers containing oats, and also missing the floral quality found in wheat beer. Nor did I care for the rather thin mouth feel or the slightly sour finish.
In short, I'm glad that I tried it, at the brewery's suggestion, but I think I'll stick to Industrial Arts' other excellent offerings in the future.
