Canned on 9/23/2020. Poured into an Industrial Arts pint glass. It pours an opaque, pastel orange with a half finger of creamy, bright white head and thick lacing. Bright orange/tangerine on the nose. You can smell it as soon as you pop the can. There are also notes of lemon, cantaloupe, and sharp floral hops. The orange carries into the taste; it's initially quite sweet with an orange soda quality. The Citra and Galaxy hops shine and the Bru-1 hops add notes of pineapple especially as the ale warms in the glass. There is some mild spice at the finish from the Perle hops. The hop bill provides adds mild bitterness. This ale is medium-bodied with pleasant carbonation, and the 8.7% ABV gives it a nice pop. Overall, Orange DIPA is big and bold and flavorful although a bit sweet; it's like a sweeter, more orangy Torque Wrench.
