Pale green and loaded with intense, exotic fresh fruit character, Riwaka is one of the most sought-after hops in the brewing world. We traveled to visit farms in New Zealand last year, and were rewarded with a very small amount of this elusive and sublime variety. Each of these two companion beers expresses itself in different ways. The West Coast version is lean and clean with a simple malt bill and classic American ale yeast while the Northeast-style is heavy on wheat, oats and haze. Our farmer is waiting for feedback, try them both, let us know what you think, and we'll all win!
