Canned 8/13/21. Let sit out ~15min, before opening.

Almost-clear gold, with just over one finger of quickly-dissipating white head. Leaves a thin ring, with slight surface sheet of foam, and no appreciable lacing.

Smell is melon, candied orange rind, and slight white grape, with some additional light green onion and dried pine from the open can.

Tastes of grapefruit, pine, and orange rind, mostly, with slight caramel and green onion. This could be mistaken for a batch of Enjoy By.

Feel is medium, slightly slick and syrupy, with moderate, fine carbonation bite coming in on the latter half.

Overall, a basic, old-school DIPA , which is enjoyable, and perfectly fine, if that is what you want, & are in the mood for . (I am. ;) ) If so, give it a try. :)

Described as the Imperialized Power Tools. Poured into a belgian snifter/tulip style glass.

L: 3.75. Quite transparent, but a very light haze. A bit bright in coloration for a DIPA, but a nice looking ale nonetheless. Golden body. Moderate carbonation.
S: 4.25 Same nose as power tools. Heavy on the pine and grapefruit.
T: 4.25. Here you get the upgrade from Power Tools. Much more of a punch. Starts out bitter, with a bite of bitter hops and fruit, but ends on the sweet and malty side.
F: 4. With the bigger punch in the taste comes a harsher mouthfeel. Medium to thick bodied.
O: 4.25. A must try for West Coast IPA lovers. It'd be great if this became a perennial option to complete the "Tools" trilogy. The lighter pale ale - Tools of the Trade. The bigger brother of Tools of the Trade - Power Tools. I'll leave the naming of this one to the experts.
