Pünktlich zum Startschuss der großen Volksfeste wird im Airbräu unser Festbier ausgeschenkt. Vornehmlich in Maßkrügen wird dieses süffige, vollmundige Bier in der fünften Jahreszeit in Bayern ausgeschenkt. Es passt damit perfekt zur traditionellen, deftigen Bayerischen Küche im Airbräu.

While accompanied by my daughter Caitlin, JamesW (Iain) and his friend Russ, I thoroughly enjoyed two 0.5l mugs of this before boarding a flight back home on 28SEP10. Each mug was a bargain at 2.30!
This Festbier was a clear, honey-like golden color, with a creamy, well-lasting white head. The foam eventually ebbs to a thin layer, leaving A-1 lacing behind. A bready nose hits you along with some floral notes. Body is a good medium, and the passage over the tongue is nothing but calm and easy.
Lots of good bready, toasty malts hit the palate, with a pleasing sweetness coating the tongue. Flowery hops, though restrained, play out in a pleasing finish. Nicely warming as well, this one goes down all too easily! Had we not had to check-in for our flight, another mug (or two?) may have been drained! Get it while you can! Zum Wohl, and 'til next year, Auf Wiedersehen Deutschland!!!
