Poured while holding a wiggling baby, so a large white head was generated over a clear golden body. Reasonable head retention.
Very sweet aroma, somewhat grainy and grassy, but certainly gives an overall sweet impression.
Light but prickly carbonation through a medium body (for a lager that isn't big). The taste comes across flat, one dimensional. Sweetened grain flavour, without hops not holding up any balance. Tastes almost empty at the back.
Not bad, would make a reasonable patio beer, but I find it lacking at the end.

Comes in a brown 500 ml bottle, screwtop cap, blue and yellow label with an anchor. Pours out a clear transparent gold, lots of carbonation, however not much in the way of a head except for a quick foamy splash.
Sweet biscuity malt on the nose at first, accompanied by some soft rounded grains. Light grassy hops, as well as a bit of a metallic note.
The malt is also rounded in the flavour, sweet and somewhat bready, grains in the middle along with a touch of corn. Mild grassy hop finish and a clean aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is medium-bodied for the style, round and smooth, no harshness from the carbonation, and not watery.
A nice touch for warm weather relaxation on the patio or in front of the barbeque, or even a high end lawnmower beer for those with deep pockets--it'll hit the spot in each circumstance. And I'm a sucker for anchors...
