Poured from 330mL bottle into my Higgins Ale Works tulip. Best by 6/23/26.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a nice effervescence and a totally clear body. Head is a thick cap of frothy ivory foam that leaves a chunky lace on the glass.
Smell: a bit of sweetness with a grainy, earthy character, kind of along the lines of wet straw. Not bad, but it’s kind of, say, astringent or something.
Taste: moderately sweet with a rather grainy quality. Hops have that softly earthy, grassy quality characteristic of noble varieties. Maybe a little on the grainy side for me, but nice.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess for the style.
Overall: it’s not perfect, but it’s still a helles and comes with all the drinkability inherent in the style. I could put back a few of these, for sure.

From the cool stubby bottle in a snifter. This excellent little helles pours a clear
pale golden with a nice head of white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin layer, and sports
some light lacing. Nose of light grains, floral hops, subtle citrus, and sweet honey malt.
Flavors nail it of r a great helles. Subtle under-ripened peach and apple join in a
nice breaded malt note dashed with sweet honey malts. Mouth feel is medium light,
medium light carbonation leaning towards light, and finishing moderately dry and
moderately sweet.
Overall, it is reminiscent of some classic brews we can't get here any longer. That
said this one stands out with great drinkability for a solid little session!
Cheers

Ok. I see a 6 pack of this staring back at me, and I’m thinking, you just cannot go wrong with German beer. And in a bottle like that? Slam dunk. Great thing about German beers…you can go in BLIND, and come out seeing the light. Anyway, beautiful Artwork on this one. I pour a 300CL bottle into a slim, tall, Lager glass. Beautiful, LIGHT golden color, with lively carbonation, and a 3” stark white/spongy looking head. That immediately leaves lacing as it dissipates to a 1 finger head. The smell, is (FAMILIAR)… hmm, the taste? LOWENBRAU! This, is the closest tasting beer I’ve ever had - when it comes to my love of LOWENBRAU. The hops/malt… but especially the hops.. SPOT ON! I’m actually amazed & happy at the same time. We cannot get LOWENBRAU in the USA any longer…I just found its brother. It’s as simple as that. A fine Helles lager. I’m going to buy more. Cheers!

500ml bottle in my home bar in the Alps. Pours a clear light golden bubbly color. Aroma is grain and saopy hops. Taste is smooth and pleasant sweet Helles that is not like the aroma. After taste and mouth feel are also nice and sweet. A good solid Bavarian Helles.

Pleasant enough helles. Aroma is a bit too faint for my liking. There is not much of a head or lacing here. Taste is fine, though somewhat understated. There is a citrus or almost winelike presence in to be found. Overall a decent beer but nothing really outstanding.

500 ml bottle, as Arcobräu Mooser Liesl Helles, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.3%. Clear and pale golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of pilsener malts and grassy and floral hops, hints of honey. Smooth flavour, some sweetness, floral hops, low bitterness, a little citrus and honey.
