12oz stubby bottle. Poured out a clear, golden burgundy color with a small, white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of toasted bread, caramel, toffee and some pine. Sweet caramel and toffee taste with biscuit malt and a mild bitterness.

I've had this on tap at the brewery and poured from packaged 12oz bottles. This beer is made with Kansas-grown barley (though it's malted out of state) and Kansas-grown hops. It's described as a Vienna lager, but its deep gold color makes me think of it as more of a Dortmunder/export bier. I might prefer a bit more carbonation, but overall, it's one of my very favorite plain-ol-yellow beers.
