Golden color, average white head. Aroma of caramel malt and herbs. Taste is malty and hoppy with caramel notes, medium sweetness. Bitter finish and aftertaste.

Served on-draught into a 33cl stangenglas at a bar in Prague. Reviewed from notes; these are truncated as the environment was not ideal.
No bubble show forms as it's poured.
HEAD: 1 finger white head. Average retention. Okay lacing sticks to the sides of the glass.
BODY: Translucent transparent yellow colour of average vibrance. No yeast particles or hop sediment are/is visible.
Not a unique or special appearance, but it looks decent for the style and is clean.
AROMA: Pilsner malts. Mild sweetness. No yeast, alcohol, or off-notes are detectable. It's a pleasant aroma of below average strength.
TASTE: Pilsner malts, barley, and that's about it. No yeast, alcohol, or off-flavours are present. Balance is okay. This is quite simple. There's no real complexity, subtlety, intricacy, or nuance here, but I do like it for what it is. Average depth, duration, and intensity of flavour.
TEXTURE: Smooth, wet, and light on the palate. Decently carbonated. Medium-bodied. Thickness is okay for the style. Not oily, harsh, astringent, gushed, hot, boozy, or rough. This texture suits the taste decently, but doesn't seem custom-tailored to it.
OVERALL: It's quite drinkable, but far from world class. I might get this again, but I have had better. Well worth trying at Prague prices.

On-tap, 500ml in a Radegast pub in Prague Old Town (39Czk - approx £1.17):
Medium to light amber and quite clear with a large, foamy white head on top that settles as a one-centimetre tall, head with good lacing on the sides.
Light & sweet malts with some vanilla & fainter butter along with some bitterness and light hops. Some grassy notes and a little straw come through too.
Sweet on the taste buds with some light bitterness and a few earthy hops coming through initially. There is a touch of sweetness & faint caramel malts as well as some butter from the nose. The beer has a good, solid lager taste with some grassy hops too.
Medium bodied with carbonation levels about the same & a moderately sweet beer with a dry finish & light bitterness towards the end.
Definitely a good start to my beer drinking in Prague and a fairly enjoyable offering to begin with. The beer is by no means a classic or the best that the Czech Republic has to offer but it was a very nice beer with the butter and light sweetness that came through being a highlight.

Brought home a 500ml can of Radegast from a recent trip to Europe. The beer poured a nice golden clear color with a fluffy white head that dissipated relatively quickly. Smell included typical pilsner hops. The taste was clean and simple, but with a nice medium bodied mouthfeel and good carbonation. Slightly bitter in the finish. Tasty and refreshing... worth a try.

The colour is straw yellow. The off-white head is compact; it leaves some lacing.
The smell is discreet. Some fresh hints of butter.
The taste got some bitter flavours, honey and butter. A neutral bitterness in the aftertaste is balanced by some malty sweetness.
The carbonation is medium strong; the liquid is light.
This is just another Czech pilsner... Still quite OK.

A - Poured out an orange/yellow color with a white, foamy, three-finger head. It was highly carbonated and left minimal amounts of lace.
S - It smelled of grains and corn.
T - Tasted far better than it smelled. It tasted of yeast, spice and caramel malts. It had a good bitter kick.
M - It was crisp and smooth. A light to medium-bodied beer.
D - This is a pretty good version of a Czech Pils. More spice and bitter kick than I expected.
