Poured golden yellow with a white head. There was little lacing and hardly any retention. Smell was hoppy, grassy, and skunky, but not awful. The taste was light, bland, and watery. A little sweetness, grassiness, some malt and a hint of hops. Finishes dry and slightly sour. Smooth and clean to drink. Not good, not bad, an average imported lager. There definitely are better ones.

Clear golden with small amounts of carbonation noted in the body. A one finger head of whith froth leaves a nice blanket of lace behind as I drink. Pretty nice aroma of grainy and cracker like maltiness. The taste is more along the lines of a macro lager or green bottle lager. Grainy sweet with a titch of skunkiness. Hops don't play a big part of this equation. Mouthfeel is decent. That's it. Could be a little more cabonated for the style, but it's not flat by any means. Body is medium-full. Pretty average stuff here.

Pours an effervescent bronze with a 1 finger deep white head. Average lacing & head retention

S: Malt & perfumy hops

T: Malt sweetness & big herbal hops up front. A slight fruittyness & grainyness emerge as it warms. Finishes with citric hop bite, a slight grainyness & rich malt sweetness

MF: Medium bodied, slightlty undercarbonated & okay balance, expected it to a be a little crisper

This drank okay, thought it was better when I had it in germany

This is kind of a strange situation..a genuine Czech lager that has the words "Produced by the Mississippi Brewing Company, Utica, NY-Product of USA" written on it. Most odd. I remember about five years or so ago the same beer in the same bottle was labeled "Radegast" and was purportedly a product of the Czech Rep. I imagine it may be a naming/licencing snafu like the Budvar/Budweiser feud. Either way the price is still right, I paid 99 pennies for sixteen ounces of this bad boy.
Pours a medium gold color with a wispy thin head and grainy but appealing smell. The taste has more malt than usual from a pilsner but it adds to the complexity so no problems there. Mouthfeel is thin and holds a little too much carbonation. Slight metallic note to the aftertaste.
This is an unexciting Czech/Dixie/Gotham, lager but not terrible by any means and it sure is good on the Thurs before payday.

The bottle I got said "Produced by Mississippi Brewing Co." I hope this is the same beer..Anyway, poured a clear gold with a white head that stuck around most of the way through. Taste was like a typical summer backyard beer. Grassy and somewhat metallic with a slightly hoppy bitter finish. Best to drink this one really cold. Reminded me of Rheingold almost to a tee which is not bad but certainly nothing special.

Golden, medium-to-thin head. Fresh hoppy aroma, slightly metallic malty palate with hints of rye and butter. Long hoppy bitterness. Quite flavorful for its gravity and strengthness. probably good for a hot summer swill and decent stuff too, but better beers in the Czech republic can be had.
