Easy drinking, slightly malty with an initial toffee/caramel sweetness and a slightly grainy-biscuity palate and a touch of roasted dryness in the finish.

Excellent! As expected for the style, not much head, but the red comes through in the pour. Great earthy nose that carries through with maybe a bit of caramel maltiness on the palate.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours a dark red/brown with off-white head. The nose is toffee, malts, raisins, wood, biscuits, light plum, and dark German bread. Very nice.
The taste is very malty. Toffee, bread, coffee, tannins, hoppy bitterness, red grapes, a bit of leather, and a pretty strong earthy note. Definitely some dark chocolate and roasty notes there.
Mouthfeel is fairly light and dry. A mix of bitter and sweet on the aftertaste.
