Bourbon Barrel-Aged Huzzah

Pours pitch black with one finger of mocha foam. Aroma is hearty roasty, toasty, and caramely malts. Some bourbon heats up the back, bringing char and barrel along with it. Bitterness hits around the edges, but it never dips into 'hot', despite the bourbon use or alcohol level. Flavor profile is thick roasty, toasty, and caramelly malts. Bourbon is well incorporated, showing up with char, molasses, and faint tart cherry. It dives deeper into the dark notes as it warms up. Mouth feel is thick, forming a conveyor belt of silt. It's quite filling. Overall, heavy with some bourbon heat, but it's never dominated by heat or bourbon.
