Pours a caramel / copper color that's transparent enough to read logo on glassware through, despite the liquid's darkness. Head is a finger of khaki foam. Aroma is caramel, bread, and nutty malts, among faint fig, toffee, and minor wafers. Sweet, malty-forward start. Flavor profile is caramel, rye, and wheat bread. Light fig and raisin come on towards the end, maintaining a mild sweetness throughout. Mouth feel is medium with some bubbly grit at the start, before a smooth finish. Overall, a mild sweet ale with some cozy qualities.
