From a 16oz can, dated 11/25/21 (I think). Served in a spiegelau-style IPA glass.

Pours an opaque orange-gold with a finger or so of soapy suds. Retention is pretty good, leaving a tattered curtain of thin, bubbly lacing.

Nose is relatively faint but pleasant: orange zest and a sugar cookie or cake-like light sweetness.

Flavour is thinly juicy and mildly boozy. Tasting orange solvent, grapefruit, and turpy pine, resinous, with a fairly unobjectionable lacquer thinner sort of quality not unexpected at 9% abv.

Feel is juicy, no more than medium-light bodied but with bright carbonation making it feel even a little lighter. A little acidity and warmth in the gullet ensues.

Overall, pretty good drinking. Discounting the lactose, which is easy enough to not notice, the beer’s a bit of a throwback, what with all the grapefruit and lacquer thinner. And at 9% it gets the job done.

A: Pours like a typical NEIPA (but it isn't one). Hazy with a yellow/straw color with a pure white creamy head. Very good lacing and decent retention.

S: Dank, resinous, tangerine skin and juice, red grapefruit. The lactose shows up a little.

T: Was extremely hop potent in the first week and kind of died off a little bit since. So, I'm scoring it by that first week. It's a hop intense beer, stinging my tongue. Lots of red grapefruit, tangerine and both of their zest. Super dank and resinous. A little bit of lactose show up with a little sweetness and acidity.

M: Light and slightly fluffy with a lively but not too aggressive carbonation.

O: Incredible West Coast style DIPA. My favourite in a long ass time, at least since the NEIPA wave. Very impressed with this one.
