It pours hazy yellow with a very short-lived soapy white head. No retention, no lacing. The aroma is candy-like. Lime juice, mango, hard water, rotting tropical fruit. The flavor is definitely mellower than I was expecting and than their other beers drank fresh. There is some white pepper, some booze and a little of the fruitiness from the nose. It is relatively drinkable I suppose, but it is clearly a 10+% beer. It looks okay, but not as nice as it could be. Overall though it is about par for my experiences with TIPAs. A little too sweet, a touch boozy and not as refreshing as I like from something hoppy but not too bad. I wish this had come in an eight ounce can. Regardless of any of that, though, this is probably the best beer I've tried from these guys so far. I actually almost look forward to drinking it again, maybe not 3 more times, but I'll manage.
NOTE: It continued to slightly improve at 3 weeks. Rounder and easier drinking, but the rotting tropical fruit was more present in the aroma and flavor. Not bad at all so long as you don't drink it too fresh (ironically).
